The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Out of the 2,030,862 candidates who registered for the exam, 1,911,551 results have been released. However, 39,834 results are currently being withheld due to various infractions, including examination malpractices and biometric irregularities.
Key Highlights:

Withheld Results: The 39,834 withheld results are under investigation for issues such as identity fraud, impersonation, and biometric discrepancies.

Biometric Issues: Approximately 3,656 candidates had “extraneous fingerprints,” indicating potential impersonation. Additionally, 2,157 candidates experienced fingerprint rejections during registration.

Exam Malpractices: 244 candidates were caught participating in “WhatsApp runs,” subscribing to groups that promised leaked questions. Their results have been withheld.

Underage Candidates: Out of 41,027 underage candidates who registered, only 467 met the high-performance criteria. However, 50 of these underage candidates were involved in examination fraud.

CBT Centres: Several Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres have been implicated in malpractices and are facing sanctions. These include Tigh Technologies Limited and Sascon International School in Abuja, Wudil Computer Information Technology in Kano State, and Penta M &Amp Centre 2 in Sokoto State.

Ongoing Investigations: JAMB is currently interrogating 80 suspects across the country for their involvement in examination-related offences, with Anambra State recording the highest number of suspects at 14.
How to Check Your 2025 UTME Result:
Candidates can check their UTME results by sending an SMS with the word “RESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used for registration. Please note that standard SMS charges apply.
