There is no doubt that the Erelu Kuti of Lagos and Erelu of Egbaland, Dr Abiola Dosunmu, is a highly distinguished Yoruba woman, who has done a lot to positively project Yoruba culture across the world.

It is thus not surprising that because of her pedigree, rich background and antecedents, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, recently installed her as the Yeye Oba Odua (Queen Mother of the House of Oduduwa).

This was followed by traditional prayers and a cultural festival at the Erelu Abiola Foundation on Lagos Island, on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

The next day, the grand reception for the coronation held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Meanwhile, a thanksgiving mass will hold at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

A society lady of note, the events were attended by the crème de la crème of high society.

In his remarks, the Ooni noted that she is a woman who has done a lot to propagate Yoruba culture and make it attractive to others. He enjoined her to continue with her cultural activities which have caught the attention of many over the years.
