Lewis Hamilton ‘picked Shakira up from her house’ in Miami as relationship rumours swirl

Lewis Hamilton has been spotted with Shakira, and not for the first time, as rumours about the F1 driver’s relationship with the music superstar refuse to go away.

Lewis Hamilton will have hoped that bouncing back from his winless 2022 was the story grabbing the early-season headlines. But the focus in recent days has been his blossoming public relationship with music superstar Shakira, following numerous sightings together.

Hamilton has been spotted with the Colombian twice in the space of a week in the aftermath of the Miami Grand Prix.

After being seen with Tom Cruise on race weekend, images of Shakira meeting the seven-time world champion in a restaurant surfaced online.

And more recently, the duo were captured enjoying a boat day around Biscayne Bay near her £16million Florida mansion.

Rumours are rife about a potential romance after the 46-year-old’s separation from Barcelona legend Gerard Pique in June last year.

According to French outlet Gentsu, Hamilton has been acting as a gentleman by picking Shakira up personally from her Miami home.

English reports claim that Hamilton and Shakira are simply friends catching up while his busy F1 schedule took him to Florida.

The 2023 F1 season continues this season with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, where the Brit will want a better experience than his frustrations in the US earlier this month.

Hamilton finished sixth, 51 seconds behind race winner Max Verstappen and around 18 behind Mercedes teammate George Russell.

The Mercedes star looks set to go three years without a world championship crown if Red Bull’s early domination is anything to go by.

Verstappen, who has topped the standings in back-to-back campaigns, has won three Grands Prix this year. Sergio Perez has triumphed in the other two.

Amid Red Bull’s domination and Mercedes’ frustration, Hamilton has been urged to switch allegiances when his contract expires later this year.

Eddie Jordan told the Formula For Success podcast: “Lewis has to find something else in his mojo now, and he needs to get out of there.

“He needs to move on just like he did when he was with McLaren. Get out of Mercedes, Lewis. It’s time you reinvented yourself somewhere else.”
