Aerodynamics is the field of MotoGP which has grown and developed the most in the last decade. This is why in 2022 we have already seen Ducati and Aprilia attempting to have greater downforce at the rear of their respective bikes, with the Desmosedici being the first bike to have a solution implemented and applied in a racing environment.

We also saw last year (as we saw yesterday) the fitting of a wing on the rear of the RS-GP, but it was only in a testing environment. Now it’s Yamaha’s turn to go down the same road.

According to the photo below, Yamaha’s engineers have developed a unique part that is fitted to the tail of the M1 and creates some downforce. Whether it will be used at the start of the championship… the answer will come in less than two weeks.
