The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit conducted for affected candidates across the country. The announcement was made on Sunday, May 25, 2025, via a statement from the board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
According to JAMB, the resit was organized for candidates who experienced technical hitches or were unable to complete their original UTME sessions due to verified system failures or other disruptions beyond their control. The examination body stated that it had taken deliberate steps to ensure a fair and seamless process, giving these candidates an opportunity to re-sit the exam under improved conditions.
“The Board is pleased to inform the general public, especially the concerned candidates, that the results of the rescheduled UTME held earlier this month have been released and are now available for checking,” Dr. Benjamin confirmed. “Candidates are advised to visit the JAMB result portal or use the SMS code provided to access their results.”
JAMB emphasized that only candidates who had genuine complaints and were validated by the board were allowed to take part in the resit. The examination, which took place in selected accredited centers nationwide, reportedly went smoothly without any major technical issues.
This development marks another step in JAMB’s ongoing effort to uphold transparency and credibility in the conduct of public examinations. The board also reassured all stakeholders of its commitment to ensuring that no candidate is unfairly disadvantaged due to circumstances outside their control.
Candidates who sat for the resit are encouraged to promptly check their results and proceed with the necessary steps for their university admission processes.
