In a significant move to improve water safety, the Federal Government (FG) has distributed 43,000 life jackets to riverine communities in Niger State. This initiative aims to address the safety concerns associated with water transportation, especially for communities that rely on waterways for their daily activities.
The distribution of the life jackets is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance safety measures on rivers, particularly in areas prone to accidents due to unsafe boating practices.
