The Department of State Services (DSS) has officially filed terrorism charges against Simon Ekpa, a controversial figure associated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The charges come after months of heightened tension and unrest in the South-East region, which authorities have linked to Ekpa’s inflammatory rhetoric and separatist advocacy.
In a statement released on Friday, the DSS confirmed that a formal legal process has been initiated against Ekpa, who is currently based in Finland.
