Kia has revealed the production design for its Volkswagen ID 3-rivalling EV4, ahead of a launch later this year.

Kia has officially taken the wraps off its much-anticipated EV4, revealing a bold new direction for the brand’s compact electric segment. The EV4 arrives in two striking forms — a sleek hatchback and an elegant saloon — each designed to deliver high efficiency, cutting-edge technology, and head-turning style. As Kia continues to expand its electric lineup, the EV4 stands out as one of its most daring and design-forward offerings to date.

Both variants of the EV4 share a futuristic design language inspired by Kia’s “Opposites United” philosophy. Sharp lines, geometric details, and a minimalist front fascia give the car a modern edge, while the signature LED lighting design and sporty silhouette enhance its visual appeal. Whether it’s the hatchback’s athletic stance or the saloon’s graceful proportions, the EV4 is a bold statement that compact EVs can be both practical and beautiful.

Under the skin, the EV4 is built on Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), ensuring optimal space utilization and strong performance. Though full technical specifications are still emerging, Kia has hinted at competitive driving range, rapid charging capabilities, and multiple powertrain options, including rear-wheel and dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants. These configurations are expected to offer power and range tailored to urban drivers and longer-distance commuters alike.

Inside, the EV4 continues Kia’s push toward premium minimalism. The cabin features dual widescreen displays, touch-sensitive controls, and sustainable materials throughout. With a flat floor, panoramic sunroof (on select models), and ample rear legroom, both the hatchback and saloon promise a spacious, tech-savvy environment that rivals many vehicles in higher segments.

The debut of the EV4 comes at a time when demand for stylish, affordable EVs is soaring globally. Kia, already riding the success of models like the EV6 and EV9, appears poised to capture a younger, design-conscious audience with the EV4. Analysts predict the vehicle could become a strong competitor to the likes of the Volkswagen ID.3, Renault Mégane E-Tech, and even the Tesla Model 3, depending on final pricing and features.

No exact release date has been announced yet, but Kia says the EV4 will hit select markets in late 2025, with global rollout continuing into early 2026. Pricing will be competitive, especially for entry-level models, making the EV4 a potential game-changer for electric vehicle accessibility.

With its eye-catching design, practical formats, and forward-thinking technology, the Kia EV4 is more than just a new EV — it’s a glimpse into the stylish, electrified future Kia is determined to lead.
