I was broken. Not the kind of broken people could see, but the kind that eats you alive on the inside. I had smiled in pictures, laughed in conversations, and pretended everything was fine — but every night, I cried myself to sleep, asking, “Is there more to life than this?”
That day, I wandered down a dusty path I had never taken before. The sun burned high above, and my heart felt heavier than ever. And then I saw Him — a stranger sitting on a rock, watching me as though He had known me all my life.
His eyes caught me first. They weren’t ordinary eyes — they looked like fire and calm waters all at once, burning with truth but overflowing with kindness. I should have walked past Him, but I couldn’t. Something about Him drew me in.
“Why do you carry so much pain?” He asked softly.
I froze. How did He know?
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I muttered, turning away.
But then He spoke again, and His words pierced my soul: “I know your story. I know the nights you cry when no one is watching. I know the things you regret and the chains you cannot break. I know, and I still love you.”
Tears filled my eyes. I had never told anyone those things — but somehow, He knew.
“Who are you?” I whispered.
“I am Jesus,” He said, His voice like music. “I came for you. I carried your pain to the cross so you could be free. I died, but I live again — and I’m here, right now, calling your name. You don’t have to carry this anymore.”
I couldn’t stop crying. It felt like every wound in my soul was being washed clean just by being near Him.
“Can you really love someone like me?” I asked.
He smiled — not a shallow smile, but the kind that feels like sunlight on your face. “I already have. I loved you before you were born. I chose you. And if you’ll let Me in, I will give you a new life — a life no pain can destroy.”
In that moment, I knew — this was the One my soul had been searching for all along.
And now, dear reader, He’s calling your name too. Yes, you. He’s here, reaching out, whispering, “Come home. I love you.”
If you feel your heart stirring as you read this, don’t ignore it. This is Jesus calling you. Right where you are, whisper this prayer:
“Jesus, I give You my life. Forgive me. Live in me. Make me new. I am yours
