United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has officially re-launched the fifth edition of its flagship SuperSavers Promo, a nine-month savings campaign designed to reward loyal customers, attract new depositors, and advance financial inclusion across Nigeria.
The campaign, which runs from September 2025 to May 2026, will see N150 million in cash prizes disbursed to about 1,500 winners nationwide. It follows the success of UBA’s Legacy Promo in 2024, which celebrated the bank’s 75th anniversary and rewarded thousands of customers with prizes worth over N150 million.
To participate, customers need to save a minimum of N5,000 in a Bumper Account or make incremental deposits of N10,000 in other savings accounts, while dormant accounts can be reactivated with a N10,000 deposit. The promo is regulated by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and the National Lottery Commission, ensuring fairness and transparency.
Speaking at the re-launch in Lagos, UBA’s Group Deputy Managing Director, Chukwuma Nweke, stressed the importance of savings to both individuals and the nation’s economy.
“Savings help families plan for education, homes, businesses, and life goals. By curating savings programs like SuperSavers, UBA is enabling customers to secure their future while standing a chance to win exciting prizes,” Nweke said.
UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, Shamsideen Fashola, explained that the initiative is not only about rewarding customers but also about attracting new savers. He highlighted that all draws will be conducted live—with customers able to join physically or virtually—while regulators oversee proceedings for transparency.
A key innovation this season is UBA’s new digital onboarding process, which allows customers to open accounts online in real time without visiting a branch.
UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, described the promo as an extension of the bank’s customer-first philosophy:
“SuperSavers Season 5 reflects UBA’s commitment to promoting financial discipline and rewarding loyalty, while also ensuring more Nigerians are included in sustainable banking services.”
Prizes will be disbursed through monthly, quarterly, and branch-level draws, with announcements made during live sessions. To reach more Nigerians, UBA also plans to take the campaign to markets, bus parks, and universities across the country.
