Reality TV personality Porsha Williams has once again locked horns with her former husband, Simon Guobadia, this time accusing him of refusing to honor financial commitments laid out in their divorce settlement.
Court filings obtained by multiple outlets reveal that Williams claims Guobadia is in default on a range of obligations, including alimony, upkeep of their former marital residence, legal fees, and property taxes. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star alleged that his failure to comply represents “a deliberate and continuing disregard for the court’s judgment.”
Williams, who officially ended her marriage to Guobadia in June after less than two years together, argues that the missed payments amount to $667,359.55. She is now urging the judge to hold him in contempt and has even proposed that he resolve the debt by giving up his stake in the couple’s former home.
Guobadia, however, dismissed the accusations when speaking to TMZ, claiming he first became aware of the motion through press coverage. He stressed that the matter is already before the Georgia Court of Appeals, following his challenge to the trial court’s ruling. “Until then,” he remarked, “these filings are nothing more than toilet tissue for public consumption.”
The couple tied the knot in 2022, but their relationship unraveled quickly, with Williams filing for divorce in early 2024 shortly after Guobadia was briefly detained by U.S. immigration authorities. At the time, she maintained that her decision had nothing to do with his immigration issues, instead framing it as a step toward protecting her peace and family.
This latest legal battle adds another twist to what has become a highly publicized split, with both sides continuing to trade accusations. Guobadia has not made any further comment on the case.
