Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has made a timely return to Galatasaray training, weeks after sustaining an injury during Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
The 26-year-old forward, who has been sidelined for two weeks, missed Galatasaray’s last two fixtures in all competitions. His absence was felt as the Turkish champions managed a 2-0 victory over Eyupspor before falling 4-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in Europe.
Galatasaray shared images of Osimhen rejoining his teammates at RAMS Park, a welcome sight for supporters ahead of their league clash with Konyaspor. His return boosts manager Okan Buruk’s attacking options, with the Super Lig giants determined to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Osimhen, who has already netted two goals in three league appearances this campaign, is expected to play a pivotal role as Galatasaray push for domestic dominance and aim for a strong European run.
With five wins from five matches so far, the Turkish side’s momentum could grow stronger as their talismanic striker returns to the fold.
