It was a day filled with emotion, gratitude, and generosity as Princess Dr. Toyin Kolade, celebrated business mogul and Global Ambassador for Wealth and Prosperity, marked the ninth remembrance anniversary of her beloved mother, Mrs. Comfort Adejuyigbe (fondly known as Iya Alayere), who passed on in 2016.
The touching memorial took place on October 17, 2025, at her ancestral home in Ilesha, Osun State, where Princess Kolade once again gathered family, friends, associates, and community members to honor the woman whose values and virtues continue to guide her life.
In her characteristic spirit of compassion, Princess Kolade commemorated her mother’s legacy with impactful acts of giving. She distributed varieties of food items — including rice, beans, garri, instant noodles, and assorted spices — to attendees, while over 700 people were treated to a warm, sumptuous meal served in an atmosphere of celebration and gratitude.
Demonstrating her deep commitment to empowerment and education, Princess Kolade also announced 50 tuition-free scholarships for indigent students — a gesture aimed at giving hope and a future to the less privileged. In addition, she offered financial support to local artisans and small traders, helping them acquire vital tools and equipment to sustain their livelihoods.
Overcome with emotion as she walked through the compound where her mother once lived, Princess Kolade reflected on the timeless lessons and strength she inherited from Iya Alayere, a renowned trader known for her integrity, industry, and generosity.
“My mother taught me the value of hard work, kindness, and service to humanity. Every good thing I do today is a reflection of the love and wisdom she planted in me,” she said, her voice laden with emotion.
The ceremony was not only a celebration of a mother’s enduring influence but also a renewed testament to Princess Kolade’s unwavering dedication to uplifting lives—a legacy she continues to nurture year after year in honor of the woman who shaped her into the compassionate leader she is today.
