Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has once again addressed the long-standing controversy surrounding her husband, businessman Olakunle Churchill, and his former marriage to actress Tonto Dikeh.
Speaking candidly, Rosy dismissed allegations that she was romantically involved with Churchill while he was still married, insisting that she had opportunities in the past but never saw him as someone she was interested in.
According to her, long before marriage ever became a possibility, she and Churchill had crossed paths several times. However, she maintained that she never considered him a romantic option at the time.
“I could have had something with him long before we ever got married,” she reportedly said, “but he simply wasn’t my type.”
Her remarks appear to push back against claims that she played a role in the breakdown of Churchill’s previous marriage to Tonto Dikeh. The former couple’s highly publicized split dominated headlines for years, with accusations and counter-accusations flying on social media.
Rosy has repeatedly denied being involved during that turbulent period, emphasizing that their eventual relationship developed much later and under different circumstances.
Since tying the knot, Rosy and Churchill have built a family together and often share glimpses of their life online. Despite continued public scrutiny, she has remained firm in defending the timeline of their relationship.
Her latest comments seem aimed at putting lingering speculation to rest, making it clear that, in her view, her love story with Churchill did not begin the way many critics have suggested.
