Nigerian media personality Mayowa Lambe has taken legal steps against her former husband, Roby Ekpo, over what she describes as damaging and misleading public statements about their past relationship.
Through her legal representatives, Lambe issued a cease-and-desist notice, challenging Ekpo’s version of events surrounding the breakdown of their marriage. She maintains that their traditional union had already been formally dissolved by mutual agreement before May 2025, with both families fully informed of the separation.
The notice further accuses Ekpo of circulating false claims, including allegations of infidelity, financial reliance, and misrepresentation of their marital status. According to Lambe, these statements have fueled online harassment and significantly harmed her reputation.
Her legal team has demanded an immediate halt to any further public commentary, alongside the removal of previously published statements and a formal public apology.
In addition, Lambe is seeking ₦100 million in damages, warning that failure to comply within three days will result in full legal action.
