Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has vowed to initiate legal proceedings against her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, accusing her of repeatedly cursing and wishing death upon her children and grandson.
The two actresses have had a long history of public feuds, with their disagreements spilling from social media to police stations and courts. Lizzy Anjorin has frequently accused Ojo of sponsoring defamatory content about her online, while Ojo has maintained her innocence.
In a post shared on Instagram on Monday morning from Tanzania — where she is currently spending time with her newborn grandson — Ojo revealed that she has been monitoring Anjorin’s recent outbursts. She disclosed that her legal team has been documenting the alleged defamatory statements and death wishes as evidence for upcoming legal action.
“Honestly, I haven’t laughed this hard in a while… On a more serious note, I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach to the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses Liz Anjorin has been directing at my family, especially those targeting my grandson. My legal team isn’t sleeping. They’re taking notes of everything,” Ojo wrote.
She added that her focus in recent months has been on family matters — welcoming her grandson and supporting her daughter — but stressed that once she returns to Lagos, she will work with her lawyers to “tackle challenges” head-on.
“Silence can be powerful, and while it’s not always easy for me, I know it’s sometimes necessary,” she said, thanking her fans for their concern and assuring them of updates as the situation unfolds.
Ojo’s statement marks a major escalation in the ongoing rift between the two Nollywood stars and signals the possibility of a fresh round of court battles in the months ahead.
