Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has described the return of Dr. Olajide Adediran (Jandor) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a commendable step, calling it both “wise and timely.”
Obasa gave the remarks on Sunday while receiving Jandor at his official residence in Ikeja GRA, Lagos. The visibly pleased Speaker praised Jandor for retracing his steps, noting that the APC remains the true home for progressive politics in Lagos and across Nigeria.
“Your decision to return to the progressive family is a wise and good move,” Obasa told his guest, assuring him of smooth reintegration and partnership in advancing good governance.
In his remarks, Jandor expressed appreciation for the warm welcome, pledging loyalty to the APC and commitment to Lagos’ development. He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, describing them as courageous steps aimed at stabilizing the economy despite the expected criticisms.
“It takes true leadership to embark on such reforms in the face of resistance. The President has shown once again that he is focused on the people’s welfare, and I am fully aligned with this vision,” Jandor said.
The meeting ended on a cordial note, with both leaders reaffirming their readiness to strengthen the APC’s unity and work collectively for the progress of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
