The Lagos creative community has been thrown into mourning following the gruesome death of 26-year-old interior designer, Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche. She was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Lintex Ogale, in her Lagos residence on the night of Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
According to eyewitnesses and activist reports, the suspect reportedly disguised himself as a dispatch rider to gain entry into the estate. After tricking the security guards, he scaled the fence and proceeded to Deborah’s apartment. Initial findings suggest he first attempted to sabotage her gas pipe in a failed bid to trigger an explosion. When that plan collapsed, he allegedly broke into her home and stabbed her multiple times, leaving her lifeless.
A Toxic Past
Family members revealed that Deborah ended her relationship with Lintex over a year ago, citing his obsessive behavior. Despite the breakup, he allegedly continued stalking and harassing her, issuing chilling threats such as:
“If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow.”
On the night of the incident, neighbors reportedly heard commotion and rushed to restrain the suspect before handing him over to the police.
Friends and Family Mourn
The tragic loss has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with friends and colleagues mourning the young designer’s untimely death.
One mourner, Vera Gabriel, wrote:
“Debrah Porsche, death do you this one, my dear. May your killer know no peace. You were such a hardworking lady with great plans for your future. Kai, the ground don swallow this one.”
Another friend, Ode Isaiah Ijuwo, expressed deep sorrow:
“The only crime she committed was to love a monster. God will judge you, Lintex. Debrah Porsche, forgive me. I wasn’t there to save you. I’m sorry.”
Calls for Justice
The case has since been taken up by the police, with growing demands from activists and loved ones for swift prosecution to ensure justice is served.
Deborah’s death has reignited conversations about domestic violence, stalking, and the dangers of unchecked obsession in relationships. Many have called for stronger protective measures for women who report threats from former partners.
Her shocking demise not only robs her family of a daughter and sister but also deprives Nigeria’s design industry of a promising talent whose dreams were cut short in the most brutal way.
