BREAKING: Nollywood Actor Odira Nwobu Dies In South Africa | Daily Report Nigeria

Nollywood has been thrown into mourning after actor Odira Nwobu passed away suddenly in South Africa on Monday, November 24. His colleague, Daddy Billy, has now shared a heartbreaking, minute-by-minute account of the actor’s final hours.

In a video posted on social media, Billy revealed that Odira had suffered a frightening health scare just days before his death, describing how the actor battled heart palpitations and dangerously high blood pressure.

A Warning Sign Days Before His Death

According to Billy, Odira experienced a severe episode three days earlier, with his heart “beating visibly fast.” He was rushed to a pharmacy, where his blood pressure was checked and found to be 171, a reading that left the pharmacist alarmed.

“The pharmacist said he was lucky. With that BP, he could have had a stroke or even died if we delayed,” Billy recounted.

The pharmacist reportedly placed Odira on medication, after which he showed signs of improvement.

The Missed Dose That Changed Everything

On Sunday, however, things took a tragic turn.

Billy explained that Odira went out but forgot to take his BP medication that day. By evening, he began complaining of intense weakness and fatigue.

“He kept saying he was tired. Nobody remembered to ask whether he had taken his tablet. It slipped everyone’s mind,” Billy said with regret.

Despite his complaints, the group continued their outing and later stopped by a club. Billy noted that Odira even made videos and appeared stable at the time.

Sudden Decline and Final Collapse

After the outing, they all returned to their apartments. Hours later, Billy said they received a distressing call:

“We were told his heart started racing again. Before anything could be done… he was gone.”

Autopsy Conducted, Results Awaited

Billy confirmed that an autopsy has already been performed in South Africa, and the Nollywood community is awaiting the official medical report to determine the exact cause of death.
