Clergywoman Pastor Tolu Odukoya has revealed that her marriage has come to an end, calling the experience one of the most difficult seasons of her life.
Speaking candidly, she compared the separation to a form of bereavement, saying it was yet another loss in a series of painful events she endured between 2021 and 2023 — including the passing of her father, her stepmother, and her father’s twin sister. The breakdown of her marriage, she explained, felt like an added layer of sorrow on top of these tragedies.
Despite her heartbreak, Pastor Tolu was quick to emphasize that her ex-husband was not a “bad man.” She noted that he treated her with kindness but acknowledged that some relationships simply are not destined to last. “If God is not in it, you can’t force it to happen,” she said, underscoring the importance of divine guidance in sustaining a marriage.
She also expressed deep gratitude to her siblings, describing them as her strongest support system throughout this challenging time, and thanked God for giving her the strength to persevere through the storm.
