Reality TV star Porsha Williams has sparked major conversation after revealing she’s currently dating both a man and a woman, marking her first public statement about her love life since divorcing Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum made the revelation while speaking at New York City’s CultureCon over the weekend. When asked about her dating life, the 44-year-old said with a smile, “Of the people I am talking to now … he is nice and she’s nice,” sending the audience into gasps and cheers.
Though Williams kept the identities of her new partners private, she explained how the relationships feel different from her previous ones. “I really wanted to make sure these were normal people,” she said. “I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists. And guess what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They mirror you. They try to look perfect,” she added, appearing to shade her ex-husband.
According to Williams, both partners “challenge” her in ways she’s not used to. “I have to soften up a bit,” she said. “I can’t expect elaborate gestures all the time. I have to expect someone to call me out from time to time.”
This isn’t the first time the star has opened up about her struggles with dating after divorce. Speaking to People in June, she admitted that after a “bad enough breakup,” she questioned whether she could “get with a woman” or find someone to “fill the void” left by her ex.
Williams married Guobadia, 61, in 2022 but filed for divorce in February 2024 after 14 months of marriage. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
