Regina Daniels’ Father Once Opposed Her Marriage to Ned Nwoko Before Reconciling

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko has always been a subject of public debate, but not many remember that her father, Barrister Jude Ojeogwu, once openly rejected the union.

When the actress tied the knot with Nwoko in 2019, Ojeogwu took to Facebook to declare that his consent was not sought. In his post, he criticized Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, for her role in the marriage, warning that she was “threading on a dangerous path.”

According to him, all attempts by Nwoko to reach an understanding with him had failed, and he considered the traditional rites surrounding the wedding unfamiliar to his daughter’s cultural background.

However, just a year later, Ojeogwu made a public appearance at the naming ceremony of Regina’s first child. Speaking to the press at the event, he explained that he had chosen reconciliation for the sake of peace and because “a child is now involved.”

The episode remains one of the most talked-about moments in Regina Daniels’ journey to fame, highlighting the family tensions that preceded her eventual marriage and the compromises that followed.
