Samsung Electronics has unveiled its bold ‘AI Home’ vision, with a target of connecting 1 billion devices worldwide within the next three years. The announcement was made on September 4 at a press conference in Berlin, a day before the official opening of IFA 2025, Europe’s largest home appliance exhibition.
Delivering the keynote, Kim Chul-gi, Vice President of Samsung’s Digital Appliances (DA) Business Division, outlined the company’s strategy to make AI-powered living a mainstream reality. He explained that the Samsung AI Home is built around four core experiences:
-
Ease – simplifying daily routines,
-
Care – safeguarding health and wellbeing,
-
Save – optimizing energy and time efficiency, and
-
Secure – ensuring privacy and data protection.
Samsung’s vision of ‘Ambient AI’ goes beyond smart devices by enabling technology to understand and adapt to user environments and habits in real time. From adjusting air conditioning and lighting to providing family care alerts and pet monitoring, the AI Home promises personalized, seamless living experiences.
The company also emphasized sustainability, stating that its AI appliances can significantly reduce energy consumption — refrigerators by up to 15%, washing machines by 70%, and air conditioners by 30%. All devices will be backed by Samsung Knox, the company’s trusted security solution currently protecting over 1 billion Galaxy smartphones and smart appliances.
In addition to its AI vision, Samsung showcased a lineup of new products, including a robot vacuum with steam sterilization technology, a hood-integrated induction cooktop, and a 115-inch Micro RGB TV featuring ultra-fine LED technology. Also on display were The Moving Style, a portable wireless screen, and the Sound Tower, a mobile speaker offering 18-hour battery life and built-in mobility features.
“Samsung is bringing the future home,” Kim stated. “With our AI-powered ecosystem, life will be smarter, safer, and more convenient than ever before.”
