Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has issued a sharp and defiant response following news of his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The party, during its national convention held over the weekend in Oyo State, announced the expulsion of several prominent figures, including Fayose and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Reacting on his X handle, Fayose dismissed the decision with a cryptic but pointed message, suggesting that the PDP no longer holds the relevance or moral authority to expel him.
In his words:
“The living can’t be found among the dead.
The dead don’t expel the living.”
His statement has since stirred discussions across social media, with many interpreting it as a declaration that the PDP has lost its vitality and influence, and therefore cannot determine his political fate.
Fayose’s next political move remains uncertain, but his reaction signals that he is not bowing out quietly from the national stage.
