72hours after Television TVC was attacked, its premises vandalized and equipment burnt – it is back on the air.

Societynow.ng confirmed that TVC started broadcasting, again, early today – Saturday, October 24, 2020.

This development comes three days after the early morning attack on the station by hoodlums under the pretext of protesting the shooting of unarmed #EndSars protesters at the Lekki Toll-Gate – Lagos – on the evening of Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

TVC was attacked early morning the next day, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in what later turned out to be a coordinated attack on the businesses and properties of targeted individuals and agencies and legacy projects of the Lagos State government under the guise of protesting the Lekki- Shooting.

Interestingly the attack on TVC transpired during the “delayed” broadcast of the popular programme ‘’Your View’’ which was passionately condemning the shooting of the unarmed #EndSars protesters.

“That is another major reason, the attack on TVC is senseless because TVC was a major pillar of support for the #EndSars protests, protesters and their demands which later transformed into an agitation for a better nation” a source stated.

The checks carried out by societynow.ng revealed that TVC, particularly its show with a cult following home and abroad – Journalist Hangout fiercely backed the #EndSars protesters.

“Even, when the violence started breaking out and people started demonizing the protesters, the Journalist Hangout crew stuck with them drawing a distinct line between the peaceful protesters and hoodlums profiting from the situation. I remember clearly Babajide Otitoloju (one of the presenters) constantly admonishing the government not to use force against the protesters on different editions of the show..it is utterly senseless that the same TVC which airs Journalist Hangout was the first to be attacked and burnt down and its staff harassed when the #EndSars protesters where shot at Lekki” Charles Oyelesi, stated.

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu confirmed that “the military” shot at the unarmed protesters at Lekki Toll-Gate.
