Harry Kane confirms he

Harry Kane has confirmed he is staying at Tottenham Hotspur after he was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City.

The England captain was set to switch to Manchester City in a massive deal worth £150m, but the Spurs striker has drawn a line on his future and will continue with Tottenham.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, August 25, the 28-year-old confirmed that he will remain in north London this season by writing: ‘It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.

‘I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success. #COYS.’

The 28-year-old was made Pep Guardiola’s only target to replace club-record goalscorer Sergio Aguero after he joined Barcelona. But Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, has rejected all bids for the England captain.
