Causes
– The causes include:
- Infection with E. coli that releases endotoxins is the most common cause in children
- Certain medications like quinine sulphate, cyclosporine causes immunosuppression and leads to this condition
- Pregnancy in rare cases
- Immunosuppressive states such as HIV/AIDS are also responsible for this condition
