Enugu lawmaker, Hon Mrs Bibian Anekwe has reportedly apologized for the post accusing singers Phyno and Flavour of using End SARS protest to “blackmail Enugu Government”.

In a photo of a signpost making the rounds online, Phyno and Flavour’s faces are seen plastered with the words:”Don’t use #EndSARS protest to blackmail Enugu State Government. Go to your state. Our Governor is working.

The photo adds that it was sponsored by Hon Mrs Bibian Anekwe.

The signpost, which some say was not erected in Enugu State but was simply a mock-up shared by the lawmaker, angered Nigerians and many took to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to slam her.

She has now reportedly apologized while claiming her account was hacked.

Former Ebonyi lawmaker, Maria Ude Nwachi took to Facebook to share her apology.

The apology from Hon Mrs Bibian Anekwe reportedly reads: “Please I will like to use this medium to apologise for the misinformation shown on my page. It just came to my notice that my page was hijacked through my media team.

“Please am deeply sorry for the accusations made towards Phyno and Flavour. Those accusations weren’t done by me or any of my media team.

“Please am sorry people of Enugu State. Am sorry Phyno and Flavour.”
