I have not made calls to anybody – Peter Obi dismisses calls for him to concede and call President-elect Bola Tinubu, says he firmly believes in the Nigerian judiciary to ”reclaim his mandate”

Peter Obi who is the presidential candidate of the Labour party in the 2023 presidential election has said that he hasn’t made any calls since INEC declared Bola Tinubu of the APC as the winner of the presential election.

 

There have been calls for him and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP to emulate former President Goodluck Jonathan, concede defeat and call Tinubu. Dismissing the calls for him to concede and congratulate Tinubu, Obi at a press conference he had on Thursday, March 2, said;

 

‘’I have not made calls to anybody. I am not against making calls. Everybody that has been involved in this, even the two main contenders I have always said are my elder brothers. They are far my seniors. They are actually my fathers. If they call me and want me to see them I will see them but on this issue I am challenging the process.”

 

Also at his press conference, Obi said he believes in the judiciary as all the times he has had to approach the courts, he has come out victorious.
