Renowned Nigerian actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, fondly known as RMD, is set to grace the screens once again in his second Bollywood movie titled “Postcards.”

This follows RMD’s successful debut in the 2020 cross-cultural comedy “Namaste Wahala,” which brought together actors from both Nigeria’s Nollywood and India’s Bollywood film industries.

“Postcards” will also feature other Nollywood stars, including Tobi Bakre, Sola Shobowale, Nancy Isime, and Rahama Sadau, among others.

In a post on his Facebook page on Thursday, RMD revealed that he was featured in the Indian movie.

He wrote, “See me trekking miles as a child, beating curfew, dodging dogs in Warri, to New Rex Cinema and Delta Cinema to watch Indian films, to finally being in not one but my second Indian film.”

He also revealed that a veteran Indian actor, Amitabh Bachchan, “called him,”  and film producer Hamisha Ahuja “made magic happen.”

He added, “Warri boy living the dream. #amitabhbachchan call me.

“Ladies and gentlemen, from the producers of Namaste Wahala comes a new one.

“Shot on location in India and Nigeria. Here’s POSTCARDS, premiering on the 3rd of May. #hamishadaryaniahuja made magic happen.”

In a separate post on her Instagram page, Ahuja disclosed that one of the key criteria in casting decisions for “Postcards” was versatility.

“I wanted actors who could seamlessly transition between roles and embody a range of emotions and personalities,” she wrote.
