Renowned Economist, Albert Okumagba dies at 56

A frontline economist, stockbroker, capital market operator, and investment expert, Albert Okumagba, is dead. He was 56 years old

 

According to reports, Okumagba died in a hospital in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday, November 19.

 

The cause of his death has not yet been revealed.

 

Late Okumagba was the Group Managing Director of BGL Group, a leading investment banking and financial services group. He was President of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) between 2014 and 2015.

 

Born in April 1964, Okumagba attended Federal Government College Warri, 1975-81; Kings College Lagos, 1983; University of lbadan and University of Lagos. He had Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Economy.
