Pop icon Rihanna and lover A$ap Rocky have finally unveiled their son’s name.

What is Rihanna’s 2nd son’s name?

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have finally revealed the name of their second baby boy.

According to the birth certificate obtained by PEOPLE, their newborn son’s name is Riot Rose Mayers.

He was born on August 1, at 7:41 a.m., at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

Interestingly, this is the second child for the couple with a name that starts with the letter “R.”

It could be seen as a continuation of a tradition, possibly paying homage to a family of first names that all begin with the same letter. (It’s worth noting that A$AP Rocky’s legal name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers.)

The Te Amo hitmaker, in February, announced she was pregnant, less than a year since she welcomed her first child.

Sources previously confirmed to the online publication PEOPLE that the couple welcomed their second baby together in August.

“Rihanna feels her family is now complete it’s something she’s always wanted.”

In July, the rapper dropped his single titled ‘RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),’ which serves as the second single from his forthcoming fourth studio album, ‘Don’t Be Dumb.’

Rihanna gives birth to firstborn

On May 13, 2022, Rihanna and Rocky joyfully introduced their first child into the world, christening him RZA Athelston Mayers in tribute to the renowned figurehead of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Consequently, the birth of his brother solidified RZA’s status as an elder sibling.

Netizens react to Rihanna’s birth story

Here is what they had to say:

“Secretly? The whole world knows she’s been pregnant, so her giving birth is hardly a surprise or secret.”

“I wanted a girl.”

“Now it’s a boy not a girl anymore. Let’s wait until they present their baby.”
