Update: Preliminary investigation shows claims of abduction at Lekki-Ikoyi bridge by Twitter user is false - Lagos police PRO, Ben Hundeyin, says

 

The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, says a preliminary investigation into claims made by a yet-to-be-identified man that he was abducted and almost killed after boarding a commercial bus at the Lekki-Ikoyi roundabout, shows that the claims are false.

 

In an update shared on his Twitter handle today November 25, Hundeyin said the man has been advised to show up to help the police in its investigation.

 

In a viral video, the man claimed that some suspected kidnappers dressed in military uniforms picked him and other passengers on the popular Lekki-Ikoyi bridge and tried to kill him. Read here,
