NAHCO unveils export processing facility

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc has unveiled its export processing facility centre in Lagos.

Speaking at the unveiling of the facility, the Chairman, NAHCO, Dr. Seinde Fadeni, said the facility in Lagos was the first of five.

He said such centres would be spread across the country to cover all geo-political zones, as they would be developed in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, and Kano to boost Nigeria’s export policy.

Fadeni said the centre would enhance the country’s export drive and standardise the nation’s export processing system.

The Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Dr. Ezra Yakusak, who unveiled the groundbreaking plaque, commended NAHCO for putting to good use the one N1bn grant which it got from the Federal Government, through the NEPC.

He assured aviation company of NEPC’s support towards a successful completion of the project in all proposed centres.

NAHCO was chosen by the Federal Government, through the NEPC and granted a N1bn naira grant to build and operate export processing zones across the country.
