Tech mogul Elon Musk is now within striking distance of reclaiming the world’s richest man from Bernard Arnault.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO saw his net worth increase by $4.86 billion (KSh 673.6 billion) after 8 hours of trading.

This remarkable surge skyrocketed his net worth to an impressive $190 billion (KSh 26.3 trillion), just $2 billion shy of Bernard Arnault’s $192 billion (KSh 26.6 trillion) net worth.

Musk lost the top spot in December 2022, and though he briefly recovered at some point in early 2023, it was only temporary.

Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, has been a top the world’s rich list for the last five months.

Since the start of 2023, Musk has earned $53.3 billion (KSh 7.4 trillion).

Musk refuse to give tech empire to his 10 children

The 51-year-old businessman revealed that he is not in the school of thought of leaving everything to his 10 kids and would not hand them share to his companies.

Musk said he has already identified and selected particular people to take over if something happened to him.
