When The Shield broke up, Roman Reigns, clearly the member of the group WWE had the biggest plans for, though all of them had various main event runs, kept the theme song for himself. He’s been using it for so many years, it felt truly bizarre when he came out on Friday Night SmackDown for his Universal championship match against Daniel Bryan and it wasn’t what was playing.
Reigns did indeed get himself a new entrance theme and, well, it’s certainly a choice. It seems like WWE was going for an epic sound befitting a star of his stature, it just feels a bit overdone. It’s a little too on the nose for his current character.
Imagine that theme playing him in when he leaves behind the deliberate mob boss type he’s been playing of late.
Either way, there it is.
